Surfing, kiting and stand-up paddleboarding
Rügen's coastline is a paradise for watersports enthusiasts. Whether you're into surfing, windsurfing or stand-up paddleboarding, you'll find ideal conditions for every level here. The beaches along the Schaabe are especially popular, as are the surf spots at Suhrendorf and Dranske.
Tip: Beginners will find plenty of watersports schools offering courses and equipment hire.

Hiking and Nordic walking

Rügen has a wealth of beautiful trails along the coast, through deep forests and over green hills. You can set off on foot straight from Inselcamp Rügen and explore the surrounding area. The routes along the chalk cliffs in Nationalpark Jasmund and the clifftop path on the Schaabe are particularly impressive.
🔹 Tip: Early in the morning or just before sunset, the trails are usually deserted and the views are at their best.

Cycling

Rügen is one of Germany's most cycle-friendly islands. You can set off on well-built cycle paths directly from Inselcamp Rügen. Especially lovely are the routes through Nationalpark Jasmund, along the bodden coast or out to the Wittow peninsula.
Tip: If you haven't brought your own bike, there are hire shops nearby, many with e-bikes available.

Riding on the beach or through the woods? Reiterhof Steffen Waak offers guided hacks and riding lessons for beginners and experienced riders alike. The routes along the bodden coast and through the sweeping pine forests are especially beautiful. From pony rides to trail riding, there's something for everyone.
